L-Arginine – essential amino acid for overall body support
Arginine is a vital amino acid necessary for the proper functioning of the circulatory, immune, muscular, and digestive systems. It plays a significant role in protein synthesis and reproduction. One of its most critical functions is its participation in the urea cycle in the liver, where it helps convert toxic ammonia into urea, ensuring safe excretion via urine.
As a precursor to nitric oxide, arginine helps regulate blood pressure, improves blood flow, and supports wound healing. For active animals, it aids in maintaining muscle mass and reducing body fat by protecting muscle fibers during physical exertion.
