Description:
For: horses susceptible to infections, horses with coughs, horses recovering from illnesses or procedures. Prophylactically for horses during periods of increased exercise, travel, and during the autumn and spring equinox, as well as winter.
Purple Coneflower herb, also known as Echinacea, is known for its immune-supporting properties.
It can stimulate a healthy horse's body, preparing it to potentially fight pathogens, or support an infected body by activating processes leading to the elimination of the pathogen by intensifying antigen production.
Echinacea has antiviral properties, making it well-known for shortening respiratory infections and alleviating their severity.
It also provides beneficial effects when used for bacterial diseases.
Echinacea is intended for use in horses struggling with infections or coughing, as well as healthy horses during periods of intense training, travel, and unfavorable weather.
Horse herbal remedies are a proven remedy for many ailments.
Preventatively:
- Adult horses: 25-50g of pellets daily (1 scoop),
- Foals and ponies: 10-20g of pellets daily (1/2 scoop).
Depending on the severity of symptoms, the daily dose can be doubled after consulting a veterinarian.
Tea recipe: Pour approximately 0.5 liters of boiled water over a scoop of pellets. Steep for 10 minutes, covered.
When the infusion has cooled, pour the tea leaves into the horse's feed or give it to the horse to drink. Adjust the amount of water to the horse's preference.
Introduce herbs to your horse's daily diet gradually, observing the horse's response. After a month of use, a break of at least one week should be taken.
Pellets can be fed dry as a feed supplement or as a treat. In winter, excellent results are achieved by administering them as a tea.
Consuming warm fluids has a soothing effect on the horse's digestive system and regulates the body's water balance.
