Pure Alfalfa Chaff – No Additives

Our alfalfa chaff is made exclusively from pure alfalfa, without any additives. It enriches the horse's diet with high-quality protein, easily digestible fiber, and readily absorbed calcium — essential components for maintaining condition, digestive health, and overall vitality.

A Unique Two-Component Product

Thanks to a carefully controlled production process, we offer a two-part alfalfa chaff that maximizes both nutritional value and digestive support:

  1. Chopped alfalfa stalks – the fibrous part of the plant
These stalks are rich in digestible fiber that releases energy slowly. Compared to typical hay, alfalfa is a more energy-dense forage. The fiber not only promotes a healthy digestive system, but also encourages the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, supporting overall immunity and digestion.

  2. Alfalfa pellets (granules) – the most nutrient-rich parts
Made from leaves, buds, and fine stem fragments, this portion is typically lost in standard hay due to crumbling or dusting, which can irritate the horse's respiratory system. Granulation preserves these small yet highly nutritious particles, reducing waste and dust.

During preparation, the alfalfa is thoroughly sieved: coarse parts are chopped to the desired size, while fine particles are compressed into pellets to ensure the final product is both clean and nutritionally complete.

Recommended For:

  • Horses with gastric ulcers – feeding chaff before work helps buffer stomach acids and protect the glandless portion of the stomach lining.

  • Senior horses – gentle on the digestive system and highly absorbable.

  • Nervous or underweight horses – supports healthy weight gain without triggering hyperactivity, while helping to maintain stable blood sugar levels.

  • Breeding and growing horses – ideal for pregnant or lactating mares, foals, and young horses with high nutritional demands.

  • Horses in recovery – excellent support during convalescence.

  • When hay quality is poor – a valuable alternative when hay is woody, faded, or lacking aroma.
