HorseFlex Valerian is a natural feed supplement designed to promote inner peace and relaxation in horses. Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) is a plant from the honeysuckle family, known primarily for its roots rather than its springtime white-pink flowers. The roots of this herbaceous plant have soothing and calming properties that help relax the nervous system, reducing panic and jumpy reactions.

Valerian as a Feed Supplement for Horses

HorseFlex Valerian is especially suited for nervous, sensitive, or easily startled horses. It supports your horse’s inner calm and helps manage fear or stress during challenging situations such as moving, fireworks, transport, or thunderstorms. This makes it an excellent choice for keeping your horse relaxed in unavoidable stressful circumstances.

Valerian is suitable for long-term use; however, we recommend a break week every six to eight weeks to avoid habituation.

Important Cautions:

• Not recommended for competition horses due to its sedative effects.

• Not to be given during pregnancy or lactation.

• Avoid use if your horse has uterine, ovarian, or thyroid issues.

100% Valerian root, sliced.

Analytical Constituents:

Crude fiber: 6.3%

Feeding Instructions:

Dosage depends on the horse’s weight:

• Ponies and horses under 350 kg: 8 grams per day

• Horses over 350 kg: 16 grams per day

One spoon contains approximately 16 grams. Add the recommended amount to your horse’s daily feed.
